There are a few trivial abrasions on the face and fields, a pin prick inside the wreath above N in ONE, and a rim bruise at star 9. Otherwise smooth surfaces, E-MDS (a). Our grade is VF35 . LOT 191 1849 N-2 R-1 ANACS AU50 . Glossy tan brown mottled with deeper olive toning on the obverse,as well as on the central obverse and periphery around ICA in AMERICA. Glossy, smooth surfaces free of notable marks. EDS(c). Our grade is choice XF45. Certificate# 7605486

LOT 192 1849 N-22 R-1 ANACS VF30 . Glossy medium olive and chocolate browns. There is a rim bruise between the date and star 1, and traces of grainy dark crud in some protected areas. EDS. Smooth surfaces. Our grade is VF25. Certificate# 5338612

LOT 188 1848 N-42 R-5+ F12+ . VF20 sharpness but there are light scratches on the portrait behind the eye and traces of grainy crud in the protected areas. There is also a pinprick over N in ONE and a tiny rim bump under the ribbon tail. Semi-glossy light brown and chocoalte.

LOT 189 Group of 10 Braided Hair Cents 1844-1849 . Group of 10 Braided Hair Cents including an 1844 N-5, 1845 N-2, 1846 N-11, 1846 N-15, two unattributed 1847s, 1847 N-14, 1849 N-2, 1849 N-19, and 1849 N-24. Grades range G to F, averaging VG.

LOT 193 1849 N-26 R-3 VF30 . 10 points sharper but there is dark, grainy crud built up in protected areas and various minor rim bruises along both sides. Free of notable marks otherwise. Attractive light brown on smooth, glossy surfaces. EDS(a), The reverse is rotated 40 degrees counter clockwise.

LOT 190 1849 N-1 R-4 ANACS AU50 . AU 55 sharpness, glossy deep chocolate and steel browns with a small area of microscopic roughness at star 8. The only mark is a faint pin scratch on the neck. E-MDS(b) with obverse rim breaks from stars 7 to 11. Our grade is XF45+ . Certificate# 7124821

LOT 194 1850 N-3 R-1 ANACS EF45 . Attractive light brown toning with a low spot between E in ONE and T in CENT to the right wreath, as struck. There are a couple trivial marks on the cheek and fields, and a few minor rim bumps at I in UNITED, the last S in STATES, and C in AMERICA. Smooth surfaces. LDS(c). Our grade is VF35.
