LOT 174 1848 N-1 R-1 ANACS AU55 Detalis (Corroded) . Mostly medium brown with deeper steel, ruddy brown, and olive tones in the fields and protected areas. LOT 170 1847 N-13 R-4 VF35 . 10 points sharper but there is a notable spot in the obverse field below the hair braid, and tiny one on the border below 1. The only notable detractions otherwise are a dull nick on the cheek and traces of old crud in some protected areas. Attractive golden brown mellowed to light chocolate on some high points. Smooth surfaces with hints of original luster. LDS(d) with the reverse rim break at R in AMERICA branching through the top of ME to the dentils over A, and another delicate die crack through the tops of TES in STATES.

LOT 175 1848 N-4 R-4+ ANACS VF25 . Reddish chocoalte and light steel with various minor contact marks scattered on the obverse portrait and fields. Nothing major but enough of them to warrant noting for the grade. Smooth, glossy surfaces. MDS(b). Our grade is VF20. Certificate# 7301831
LOT 171 1847/7 N-31 R-5 VF25 . Semi-glossy tan brown and light steel. MDS. Only the most trivial of marks on the portrait and fields, nothing distracting. There is traces of shallow oxidation around some protected areas giving a somewhat matte appearance to otherwise semi-glossy smooth surfaces.
Ex; R. L. Deming 9/2024
