INDIANAPOLIS EAC 2024  RARE EDS 1846 N-15

LOT 474 1843 N-15 R2+ Petite Head, Reverse of 1842 EF45+. Frosty light brown with hints of golden tan in protected areas on the obverse. Just a touch of rub on the highest points. A vertical nick on the bust over the 84 and another on the jawline near the ear lobe are the only notable marks. MDS, die state b. The fine die line on the right side of the N in ONE is gone.

LOT 477 1846 N-15 R4+ VF35. Frosty light to medium chocolate brown. Close to EF40 but there is a small nick right of the nostril plus a few other minor ticks on the face. Otherwise choice. Sharply struck EDS, die state a, with no trace of a die crack on the obverse. Most claimed to be die state a have a fine crack through the 846; this piece does not.

LOT 475 1845 N-9 R2 ANACS graded AU50. Frosty light brown. Some light contact marks on the cheek and neck plus a fine diagonal hairline scratch through the L in LIBERTY. MDS, die state b, with die cracks on the reverse but no rim cud. Our grade is VF35. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. 7436168

LOT 476 1846 N-14 R3 Tall Date, Repunched 1 ANACS graded AU55. Choice frosty light chocolate brown. Very nice for the grade, essentially flawless. MDS, die state a. The repunching over the left foot of the base of the 1 is clear and there are no die cracks or rim cuds. Our grade is EF45. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. 7446268
