Lot 33 1794 S-26 R-2 VF25. Near XF sharpness with microscopic porosity visible under a glass on otherwise glossy steel and light olive brown obverse surfaces. The reverse has more of the lighter olive brown in the fields and protected area and smooth surfaces. Only a few trivial marks, nothing noteworthy. LDS Breen State V. $ 3,250
Lot 31 1794 S-25 R-3+ NGC XF Details (Corrosion). NIcely detailed but there is some light pitting in the right obverse field and granular dark crud in the fields and protected areas. Steel and maroon obverse, lighter brown and light steel reverse. Bold date and legends. 4354861-004 $ 3,250
Lot 34 1794 S-26 R-2 VF20. Attractive glossy chocolate brown, the highpoints a lighter shade of brown than the protected areas. Darker chocolate toning shows in the hair above the ear. The surfaces are smooth and this cent has excellent eye appeal. The only marks are a couple light nicks just right of the Y in LIBERTY and a pinprick at the left foot of the first A in AMERICA. E-MDS, Breen state II late, Heck 3, with a clear die crack down through the E in STATES to the leaf below. The reverse is rotated 15 degrees clockwise relative to the normal head to-foot die orientation. The date and legends are strong. Lot 32 1794 S-25 R-3+ VG7. Sharpness F15 but covered with microscopic roughness on the obverse, moderate roughness on the reverse. No marks but there are traces of fine verdigris on the reverse. EDS. $ 850 Ex; “J. T. I. C. S.” 4/15/1963 - Lucien Birkler Collection
