LOT 411 1814 S-295 R1 Plain 4 VF20. Glossy olive brown with lighter chocolate toning on the highpoints. Looks smooth to the unaided eye, and the eye appeal is decent for the grade, but a glass reveals microscopic roughness under the glossy toning. The notable marks are some tiny scratches under the E in CENT and a couple ticks at the center dot on the reverse. E-MDS, Breen state IV, with a fine die crack from star 11 to the lowest curl.

LOT 409 1813 S-292 R2 NGC AU Details, Burnished. The obverse is glossy medium brown and light chocolate; the reverse is a darker shade of olive brown mixed with lighter brown and chocolate. Looks very nice to the unaided eye but a glass shows that the surfaces have been lightly smoothed. No marks or verdigris. E-MDS, Breen state II. The obverse is slightly misaligned to the bottom affecting only the dentils. Our grade is VF35 sharpness net VF20. 4713476-003

LOT 412 1814 S-295 R1 Plain 4 VF20. Slightly sharper but there is a faint scuff of very light scratches close behind the head. Otherwise choice and the eye appeal is great for the grade. Frosty medium chocolate with darker steel brown on the highpoints and lighter brown in protected areas. A small splash of lighter brown under the T in CENT is an easy identifying mark.
