LOT 209 1798 S-155 R3 Small 8, Style I Hair, Reverse of 1796 F15 Ten points sharper with uniform microscopic roughness under a glossy dark chocolate and olive brown patina. No marks or verdigris. The date is bold and the legends are strong. M-LDS, Breen state VI. The obverse is misaligned to K-11 while the reverse is properly centered on the planchet. LOT 210 1798 S-155 R3 Small 8, Style I Hair, Reverse of 1796 VG8+ Attractive glossy medium brown and light chocolate. The surfaces are smooth and void of significant marks, just worn. A shallow planchet flake in the dentils off the end of the bust is a good identifying mark. LDS with die cracks and obvious swelling. A nice lower grade example of the Reverse of 1796 “Redbook” type. $600
