1124 Ptolemaic Kings of Egypt. Arsinoë II Philadelphos (died W3270/268 BC). Gold Mnaieion – ‘Oktadrachm’ (28.6mm; 27.82 g). Alexandria, struck under Ptolemy VI, ca. 180-145 BC. Veiled head right with ram’s horn, wearing stéphanos, lotus-tipped scepter in background, large K in left field. Reverse: APΣINoHΣ ΦIΛΛΔEΛΦoY, double cornucopia with grape bunches hanging at its sides, bound with fillet. Cf. Svoronos 1498; SNG-Copenhagen 321-322; Boston MFA 2293; BMC 36. Ancient graffiti reverse left field ‘XIP’. In NGC holder graded AU ; Strike 5/5; Surface 2/5; scratches. CPE II, K35 (Plate coin)
