EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS
FINEST 1825 N-4 EX NAFTZGER
LOT 126 1825 N-4 R3 PCGS graded MS64 Brown . Lustrous light to medium steel brown blending to chocolate on the highpoints and on the lower half of the reverse. The surfaces are satiny and the eye appeal is quite nice. There are some small spots of darker reddish chocolate toning on both sides, especially at the lowest curl and ON in ONE. Just a few trivial contact marks including a couple light nicks on the chin. MDS, die state b, with a series of fine die cracks involving all the stars except for #10 and another through the base of RICA to the stem and wreath ribbon. Called MS60 and CC#1 as the only mint state example in the Bland census. Noyes says AU55 and tied for CC#1, his photo #20662. Our grade is MS60. 36793.64/13072547 Ex John P. Lyman, S. H.
