LOT 441 1852 N-20 R3+ AU50. Glossy light olive. Satiny and quite attractive with very light friction on the devices. A small tick on the chin and a tiny planchet flake at the dentils under the end of the wreath ribbon are the notable defects, and they are trivial. MDS, die state a, with lightly flowlined fields but no cud breaks.
LOT 440 1852 N-16 R1 ANACS graded MS60 Brown. Lustrous steel brown and chocolate. Satiny and very attractive. The only defect is a planchet chip on the rim at star 12, as struck. A beautiful cent but that chip does catch your eye. LDS, die state b, with flowlined fields. Our grade is AU58 but it has solid mint state eye appeal. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. 7537303
EXTREMELY RARE 1850 N-20 WITH SINGLE CUD
LOT 442 1852 N-20 R3+ VF25+. Slightly sharper with some tiny nicks scattered over the obverse, none significant but a few more than you would like for this level of sharpness. Attractive glossy medium brown with steel brown toning on the highpoints and frost in protected areas. The best identifying mark is a small planchet flake in the dentils over the E in STATES. Extremely rare LDS, die state b, with a rim cud at star 11, and the cud break is quite strong on this example. Only 6 are known in this die state, and this piece is tied for finest with one other in that small group. An important piece for the collector of significant die states.

LOT 443 1853 N-3 R1 PCGS graded MS65 Brown. Lustrous light steel brown with subtle overtones of light bluish steel. This cent has superb eye appeal but a glass reveals some tiny contact marks around ONE CENT, none visible to the unaided eye. Otherwise it is flawless. M-LDS, die state b, The repunching over the base of the 1 is gone but the lump below the 5 is still visible (although weak and blurry). Our grade is net MS60+. The attribution and Twin Leaf Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. 405982.65/33358793
