LOT 369 1848 N-38 R4- NGC graded MS62 Brown. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Smooth with light wear on the highpoints. The only notable mark is a spot of dark olive brown toning over star 1. LDS, die state c, with a strong line in the leaves under the O in OF. Our grade is EF45+ , CC#6 for the variety in the Grellman census. LOT 370 1848 N-40 R3 Repunched 18, ANACS graded AU55. Choice frosty light steel brown and olive. Satiny mint luster covers the fields and this cent has great eye appeal. Just trivial ticks including two tiny ones right of star 2. E-MDS, die state a. The repunching at the 18 is clear. Our grade is AU50+, close to AU55. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. 7330834
LOT 372 1848 N-41 R1 ANACS graded AU58. Lustrous medium steel brown. The fields are satiny and the only marks are a small nick or planchet chip right of the upper lip and a tiny rim nick at the first S in STATES. M-LDS, die state c, with crumbling on the left notch of the second 8 and a horizontal spike inside the bottom of the E in CENT. A low spot covers the right half of the neck (from debris/ lubricant on the die). Our grade is AU50+. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. 7301836
LOT 373 1848 N-42 R5+ F12. Glossy light olive and steel brown. Smooth with a few small ticks on the cheek and neck and a small rim nick at the O in OF. The reverse is a bit sharper than the obverse, as always on this variety due to swelling in the center of the obverse. EDS.
LOT 371 1848 N-41 R1 NGC graded AU58. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate with frost in protected areas. Smooth and attractive with just a hint of friction on the highpoints. There are a few microscopic ticks on the cheek and neck plus a couple small spots of reddish chocolate toning at star 8. Sharply struck EDS, die state a, without any crumbling on the left side of the second 8. The fine die lines under that 8 are sharp. Our grade is EF45+, close to AU50. 3655059-026
