LOT 344 1848 N-4 R4 Repunched Date EF40. Five points sharper but there is a nick on the jaw and a light rim bruise just left of the date. Attractive frosty light brown. M-LDS, die state b late. The repunching inside the triangle of the 4 is gone but all 4 digits show clear repunching. Tied for CC#14 honors in the Grellman census. Removed from an NGC slab graded AU50 (NGC label #370379-014 includes and it shows the attribution).
