LOT 338 1847 N-37 R1 PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Frosty light to medium brown and light chocolate. Traces of very faded mint red show on both sides. Sharp and quite attractive. Looks choice mint state but there is a faint trace of rub on the very highest points of the devices. Just a few trivial marks including two microscopic ticks over star 12, a small nick on the upper part of star 7, and a barely visible dull nick in the hair left of the top of the ear. None of these marks is visible without the aid of a good glass. MDS. Our grade is AU58+, very close to MS60. Tied for CC#7 for the variety in the Grellman census. LOT 341 1848 N-1 R1 Repunched 184, PCGS graded MS62 Brown. Glossy steel brown and light chocolate. Attractive with smooth surfaces and trivial defects including a nick-like planchet flake in the field before the chin and a small low spot at the dentil tips over star 3. MDS, die state b. The repunching on the 4 remains clear but the repunching on the 1 & 8 is mostly gone, only remnants remaining visible. Looks mint state but there is a hint of rub on the highest points of the devices. Our grade is AU55+. The attribution and Tucker Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. 406438.62/81766027

LOT 339 1847 N-38 R1 ANACS AU50 Details, Corroded. Frosty reddish brown and light chocolate with traces of very faded mint red at ITED. There is some reddish brown scale on the obverse but any roughness is trivial. However there are some nicks including a couple rather deep ones on the bust. A proper bath might help this cent. EDS, die state a, with fine die lines and no clashmarks. Our grade is AU50 sharpness net EF40. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. 7537297
LOT 342 1848 N-1 R1 Repunched 184, ANACS graded EF40. Glossy medium brown. Smooth with a rim bruise over star 6. M-LDS, die state c. The repunching is visible only inside the triangle of the 4. Our grade is net VF30. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. 5338263
LOT 340 1847 N-38 R1 EF40. At least five points sharper but there are numerous small planchet flakes and laminations on the reverse while the obverse is smooth and beautiful. Glossy medium brown, the reverse not as glossy as the obverse. E-MDS, die state b, with dull waves at the D and STAT but no clashmarks.
LOT 343 1848 N-3 R2 Repunched Date, ANACS graded AU55. Lustrous light steel brown and olive with generous traces of mint color remaining visible on the reverse. Just a touch of rub on the highpoints. The only mark is a minor spot right of star 3. EDS, die state a. The repunching is visible on all 4 digits in the date. Our grade is AU55. The attribution is noted on the ANACS label. 7464431
