LOT 201 1802 S-240 R3 PCGS graded VF30. Steel brown and chocolate with a slightly rough patch of reddish steel off the lower end of the hair ribbon and some more left of the L in LIBERTY. The roughness is microscopic, not serious enough for the PCGS graders to consider it as “Environmental Damage.” Just trivial contact marks. The surfaces are a bit dull from natural oxidation. M-LDS, Breen state III, with a die crack up to the dentils from the bust. Our grade is net VF20, perhaps slightly better if properly brushed to remove the oxidation. 1470.30/37280030

LOT 204 Pair of 1803 Cents. Includes S-245 R3 VG7 net G6 for nicks and minor scratches, and S-247 R3 VG7. Both are glossy brown and chocolate. Lot of 2 coins.

LOT 202 1803 S-243 R2 Stemless Wreath and Doubled Fraction Bar VG8. A few points sharper but there is a rim dent at the bust and the fields are covered with microscopic roughness. No verdigris or additional marks. Slightly glossy dark olive brown with lighter brown on the highpoints.

LOT 205 1803 S-246 R3 PCGS graded VF35. Glossy light olive and steel brown with lighter steel brown toning on the devices. Smooth with a few marks including a long diagonal nick above the hair ribbon and a splash of dark olive brown crud at TA in STATES. Scarce EDS, Breen state I, before the “Mumps” lump at the throat. Our grade is VF30. 1482.35/25016643

LOT 206 1803 S-246 R3 VG8. Sharpness F15 but covered with very fine granularity. There is an area of glue or some other substance in the field above the bust and a pair of light scratches hidden in the toning at D-S. EDS before the “Mumps” break at the throat. Dark olive brown and steel.

LOT 203 Pair of 1803 Cents. Includes S-243 R2 Stemless Wreath VG8 net G5 for granularity, and S-245 R3 VG7 net G5 for granularity. Both have a clear date. Lot of 2 coins.
