 MOSTLY RED 1854 N-14

LOT 477 1854 N-10 R2+ ANACS graded EF45. Frosty medium brown and light chocolate. No defects, just light wear on the devices. Sharply struck MDS, die state c, with die cracks on the reverse but none on the obverse. Our grade is VF35+. 6196206

LOT 478 1854 N-11 R2 PCGS graded MS64 Brown. Lustrous light olive with a hint of sea-green. Satiny mint frost covers this cent and the eye appeal is outstanding. A choice example except for a small spot of dark toning on the front edge of the eyeball. The spot is well hidden and is very easy to miss, but it can be used to identify this cent. MDS, die state b. The fields are covered with fine roughness from radial die flowlines caused by die wear. Our grade is MS60+ . 1904.64/81600264

LOT 480 1854 N-14 R2- Repunched 4, PCGS graded MS65 Red & Brown. Lustrous mint red fading to light bluish steel brown with about two-thirds of the mint color remaining, mostly on the reverse where the mint color is still bright. The only marks are two microscopic closely-spaced ticks under the lower right points of star 9 and a couple barely visible rim nicks over the second T in STATES. Otherwise a gem cent. LDS, die state b. The early die lines over NI are gone and the repunching inside the triangle of the 4 is dull but visible. A very shallow low spot covers much of the neck with another smaller low spot below the N in CENT (both caused by lubricant on the dies). Our grade is MS64+, very close to MS65 and CC#6 in the Grellman census. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. 406101.65/35180446

LOT 481 1854 N-17 R1 ANACS graded EF40. Frosty light to medium brown and steel. Smooth with a pair of minor rim nicks over ST in STATES. LDS, die state d, with die cracks on the reverse. Our grade is VF30 6196193
