LOT 473 1854 N-2 R1 ANACS graded EF45. Glossy medium brown and chocolate. Smooth and attractive. A long nick right of star 3 is the only mark. LDS, die state c, with sinking around the legend on the reverse. Our grade is VF30. 6196220

LOT 474 1854 N-5 R3 Repunched 18, PCGS graded MS63 Brown. Frosty light brown and steel with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. The only marks are a small nick right of the mouth and another on the rim at star 6. The rim on the reverse is dark and oxidized. Sharply struck earliest die state, Grellman state a. The repunching at the 18 is crisp and the fields are covered with microscopic die polishing lines. A single set of light but sharp die clashmarks show at the inner curl and over the O in ONE. This is the only example of the earliest die state seen by Grellman. Our grade is AU55. Frosty light to medium olive and light chocolate. The hair at the ear is quite sharp and the only mark is a barely visible dent on the tip of the coronet. M-LDS, die state c. The dies are flowlined and the repunching at the 1 & 8 is dull and barely visible. Our grade is AU58 . The attribution is incorrectly shown as N-28 on the PCGS label, and the Tucker Collection provenance is noted there. 406136.62/81762247

LOT 476 1854 N-8 R1 ANACS graded MS60 Brown. Frosty medium brown with overtones of sea-green, especially on the reverse. Sharply struck and very attractive. A bit of olive brown toning between stars 9-11 and the dentils is the best identifying mark. EDS, die state a. Our grade is AU58. 7330803
