COLONIALS 

LOT 306 1793 S-9 Wreath Cent Electrotype COPY VF25. Glossy dark steel. Considerably sharper but there is some minor roughness on the reverse and traces of the underlying base metal are visible on the reverse. EDS without evidence of die cracks on the reverse. From the Fred H. Borcherdt Collection

LOT 307 1793 S-11 Wreath Cent Electrotype COPY VG10. Slightly sharper with a dent on the rim under the date. Glossy dark steel and olive brown with light brown on the highpoints. The surfaces are smooth and it has nice eye appeal for the grade. Ex Dean Johnson 1976-Fred H. Borcherdt Collection

LOT 304 1787 Fugio Cent Newman 9-P R4 VG8. A STATES UNITED variety. Glossy olive brown with lighter tan on the highpoints. Looks smooth but a glass reveals extremely fine roughness in the fields and protected areas. No marks or planchet defects. The date is strong. Ex William H. Raymond-Fred H. Borcherdt Collection LARGE CENTS 

LOT 308 1797 S-139 R1 VF20. Sharpness EF40 with a patch of moderate corrosion and verdigris at ITED. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth and the only notable marks are some tiny rim nicks on both sides, a diagonal nick on the cheek, and a dull nick at ON in ONE. Glossy medium brown delicately mottled with some lighter brown in the fields and protected areas. LDS, Breen state V, with strong die cracks on the obverse. From the Fred H. Borcherdt Collection

LOT 305 1793 S-6 Wreath Cent Electrotype COPY F12. Has the details of a VF25 example but the surfaces are a bit rough. Slightly glossy dark steel brown and chocolate. Does not show any of the undertype base metal and the edge is plain. From the Fred H. Borcherdt Collection
