LOT 301 1857 N-2 R-1 Small Date EF40. AU sharpness but there is a nick on Liberty’s cheek and the surfaces have been cleaned. Now toned iridescent bluish steel, artificial red, and olive brown on the obverse, while the reverse is iridescent tan and medium browns. Smooth surfaces.  Ex; Denver Coins 2024 - William Schwartz

LOT 302 1857 N-4 R-1 Small Date PCGS MS62BN. Attractive light chocolate brown with subtle steel tones highlighting some devices and a touch of rub on the highpoints. The only marks are a couple trivial nicks before the eye. Smooth, frosty surfaces. Our grade is AU55. 1931.62/80649033 Ex; Phil Davis
