LOT 244 1834 N-4 R-2 Large 8, Small Stars, Medium letters PCGS AU50. AU sharpness but there is microscopic roughness on the surfaces, a horizontal hairline scratch over star 12, and a minor rim bruise at TE in STATES. Light olive and light browns. Our grade is EF40. 1699350/82987322 Ex; Phil Davis

LOT 245 1834 N-5 R-5 Large 8, Large Stars, Medium Letters PCGS VG8. Dark olive and steel browns with lighter brown on the bottom reverse. Fine roughness covers the surfaces, mostly trivial marks to speak of, including nicks above M in AMERICA. Weaker at RICA but otherwise full date and legends. LOT 248 1835 N-2 R-3 Small 8, Small Stars NGC XF45. EF45 sharpness but there are scattered areas of shallow oxidation resulting in ruddy chocolate brown areas containing traces of dark scale on both sides. LOT 249 1835 N-13 R-3 F15. 5 points sharper but there are a couple hairline scratches on the reverse and one on the neck. The most notable goes through both N’s in ONE CENT. Glossy dark chocolate brown on smooth surfaces. MDS, die state f. Ex; William Schwartz
