LOT 230 1828 N-4 R-4 VG8. F12 sharpness but lightly corroded with fine roughness covering the surfaces and dull hairline scratches in the fields. Cleaned long ago and now most deep steel and dark olive with lighter tan on the high points. Ex; William Schwartz

LOT 233 1830 N-6 R-4 Medium Letters VG8. Dark olive with lighter steel on the high points and uniform microgranularity covering the surfaces. Free of notable marks otherwise. UNITED is wearing into the rim at the top but the remaining legends and date are bold. Ex; Phil Hyde

LOT 234 1830 N-8 R-1 ICG AU53. AU sharpness but there is damage on the rim over the first S in STATES and the surfaces have been retoned. Now dark olive and steel brown tones with hints of bluish steel around some of the peripheries. E-MDS, state b. Our grade is VF35+. 5198940101 Ex; Phil Davis

LOT 231 Trio of Matron Head Cents 1829-1832. Lot of 3 Coins. Includes an 1829, 1831, and 1832, all sharper with minor surface issues and grading VG Fine. Ex; Phil Hyde

LOT 235 1831 N-7 R-1 ICG AU53. AU sharpness but there is dark, grainy crud in the protected areas of both sides, and a handful of minor nicks on the obverse. These include one in the upper hair, a few on star 3, a couple below star 4, and a tiny scratch between stars 3-4. Nothing major but enough to warrant mention. Semi-glossy chocolate and light browns. LOT 232 1830 N-2 R-2 VF30. 5 points sharper but there are traces of grainy crud in the protected areas and a small oxidation spot at IC in AMERICA. Otherwise fairly smooth on steel and chocolate brown surfaces. MDS, state b. Ex; William Schwartz
