LOT 191 1809 S-280 R-2 G6. Fine sharpness but dark and lightly corroded, strongest at stars 9-10 and on the lower reverse. Dark olive and steel patina. There is a shallow planchet clip at star 9. Bold date and legends. Ex; Carl Defalco 1986 - William Schwartz

LOT 187 1808 S-278 R-3 F12. Semi-glossy chocolate and olive browns with a dark spot right of star 4. Only the most trivial of marks consistent with the grade, including a tick on the nose bridge and a pin scratch

LOT 188 1808 S-278 R-3 VG7. F15 sharpness but corroded with fine roughness and verdigris on the surfaces, and old scratches on both sides. There are also a couple notable digs above ONE and C in CENT. Mostly dark olive brown with lighter brown on some high points. Bold date and legends. Ex; Phil Hyde

LOT 192 1810 S-282 R-2 PCGS VG10. Dark olive and steel with hints of lighter chocolate on both sides. Microscopic granularity covers some protected areas. The only marks are a dull scratches through ES in STATES and along the right wreath, and a couple rim bumps under 0 and star 13. E-MDS, Breen state II. The reverse is rotated slightly CW. LOT 189 1809 S-280 R-2 ICG EF40 Details (Corroded). EF sharpness but dark with microporosity across the surfaces, and clusters of pitting at star 8 and under NE in ONE. The notable marks include fine scratches on the neck and middle hair behind, and one on the bottom of the left ribbon tail. Dark olive brown and steel. Sharp MDS, Breen state III. LOT 193 1810 S-282 R-2 VG8. Slightly sharper but fine granularity covers the surfaces, which have also been cleaned. There is a rim bruise at stars 2-3, trivial marks otherwise. Now toned mostly deep steel brown with peeps of artificial orange underneath. Ex; Phil Hyde

LOT 190 1809 S-280 R-2 VG10. VF25 sharpness but dark with a deep stain on the obverse and fine granularity on the surfaces. Otherwise deep steel with peeps of artificial red on the highest points. MDs, Breen state V. Ex; Phil Hyde

LOT 194 1811/0 S-286 R-3 G6. There are several old hairline scratches on both sides, most blend in well to the pleasing chocolate brown toning. Fairly smooth for the grade. Clear overdate feature. Ex; Phil Hyde
