EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 144 1793 S-11c R-4+ Lettered Edge Wreath Cent AG3. Moderately corroded with old verdigris on both sides. Dark brown and dark steel. Despite the surfaces the date is bold, and LIBERTY, UNITED STATES, and ONE CENT are readable.  Ex; Phil Hyde

LOT 147 1794 S-42 R-4 PCGS VF35. Mostly medium brown with areas of deeper maroon at IBE in LIBERTY, MER In AMERICA, and CE in CENT containing traces of shallow scale. A pin prick below the chin is the only notable mark. Die misaligned towards 12 o’clock with the usual weakness for the variety on the upper reverse. Our grade is VF20 . 901374.35/42229864

LOT 145 1793 Liberty Cap Large Cent P1. Deep olive and steel patina with rough surfaces. The reverse is mostly obscured, and the date is weak but can just be made out in hand, as can most of the portrait’s outline and LIBERTY. Ex; Phil Hyde

LOT 148 1794 S-59 R-3 G5. A few points sharper but fine granularity covers the surfaces and there are rim bruises at B in LIBERTY, U in UNITED, and A in STATES. Chocolate and steel browns. Weak but readable date and full legends. Ex; Phil Hyde

LOT 149 1794 S-65 R-1 G4. Sharper on the obverse than the reverse, but the surfaces are covered with fine porosity and tiny pits. Mostly reddish chocolate brown with light brown on some devices and high points. Bold date and LIBERTY. LDS. Ex; Phil Hyde

LOT 150 1794 S-71 R-2 VG10. Tan and medium olive browns with scattered ruddy brown spots on the obverse. The only mark is a rim bruise at TA in STATES. Choice, smooth surfaces, with a bold date and full legends. EDS. Ex; Unknown source EAC 1992 - William Schwartz

LOT 146 1793 S-13 R-4- PCGS F Details (Env. Damage). Fine sharpness but corroded with fine roughness, scattered pits, and fine striations on either side. There is also a scrape through E in UNITED. Tan brown and light olive brown. Bold date, mostly readable legends. Our grade is G6. 35489.97/82498418 Ex; Phil Davis
