EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 329 1846 N-15 R4 Small Date VF35. Sharpness EF45 but expertly recolored glossy olive brown and chocolate. Smooth and attractive with just a few marks including a very light rim bruise at star 12 and another at AT in STATES. E-MDS, die state b, with a faint die crack through the date and stars 1-3.

LOT 332 1847 N-31 R5 Large 7 over Small 7 EF40. Sharper by at least 5 points but lightly cleaned and retoned frosty steel and light olive brown with mellowed red in protected areas. No roughness, just a few light ticks on the jaw and cheek. LDS, die state d, with die cracks on the reverse. The Large 7 over Small 7 feature is clear.

LOT 330 Lot of Five 1847 Cents grading VG10 to F15. Average grade is F12+. Includes N-13 R4, N-23 R5, N-27 R4, N-32 R4, and N-35 R3+. All are glossy brown and chocolate, just worn. Lot of 5 coins.

LOT 333 1848 N-1 R1 Repunched 184 AU50. Sharpness very close to mint state but recolored golden tan and light greenish olive. No marks or other defects. Sharply struck MDS, die state b. Traces of repunching are still visible on the 184, clearest on the 4.

LOT 334 Pair of 1848 Cents. Includes N-6 R1 LDS, die state e, with a small cud break on top of the M in AMERICA in addition to the earlier cracks F12 net VG8 for nicks and light cleaning, and N-37 R4+ EDS EF40 net F12 for light corrosion and nicks. Lot of 2 coins.

LOT 331 Quartet of 1847-1849 Cents grading VF20 to VF30. Average grade is VF25. Includes 1847 N-29 R3-, 1848 N-14 R3, 1849 N-1 R4-, and 1849 N-8 R2. A couple are sharper with defects but all are glossy brown and chocolate. Lot of 4 coins.
