EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 201 Group of Five 1829 Cents. Includes N-1 R3 G4, N-2 R2 VG8, N-6 R1 G6, N-7 R3 LDS with 5 “Wheelspoke” cracks on the reverse VG7, and N-8 R1 VG10. Most are glossy brown and chocolate but some are slightly sharper with defects. Lot of 5 coins.

LOT 202 1829 N-2 R2 Large Letters VF35. Ten points sharper but there are a couple short, sharp scratches at stars 7 & 8 plus a few more at D-S. The marks are not obvious and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. Frosty tan and steel brown mixed with some chocolate on the reverse. MDS, Grellman state b, with die cracks at stars 1-4 and 11-13.

LOT 204 1829 N-4 R4 F12. Glossy light olive and steel brown. Smooth with minor marks including a nick under C in CENT and a couple hairline scratches inside the wreath. LDS, Grellman state b, with well defined rim cuds on the right side of the obverse and a clear die crack through the R in AMERICA into the wreath.

LOT 205 1829 N-7 R3 Large Letters F15+. Glossy chocolate and steel brown. Smooth and attractive with just a few small marks: a minor rim bruise at star 5, a dull tick at the peak of the 1, and a rim nick under the end of the wreath ribbon. LDS with all 5 of the “Wheelspoke” die cracks on the reverse plus other cracks inside the wreath. An attractive mid grade example of this scarce variety.

LOT 203 Trio of 1829 Cents with Medium Letters. Includes N-3 R3 AG3, N-5 R3 VG8, and N-9 R4 AG3. All are glossy brown and chocolate with smooth surfaces, just worn. Lot of 3 coins.
