LOT 189 1828 N-2 R2 VF35+. Very attractive glossy light chocolate and steel brown with lighter brown and tan in protected areas. Very close to EF40. There are a few small marks including a dull tick in the field at the throat, another high on the cheek, a small nick left of star 13, and a small planchet flake under the line below CENT. None of the marks is significant and this cent has excellent eye appeal. MDS, Grellman state b. The die line between the 2 & 8 is clear but it no longer touches the 2.

LOT 188 1828 N-1 R1 F15+. Slightly sharper with a rim bruise at the E in UNITED. Otherwise the only notable mark is a planchet flake on the rim at star 10 (as struck). Attractive glossy light to medium chocolate and steel brown with tan in protected areas. MDS.

LOT 190 Trio of 1828 Cents. Includes N-2 R2 VG8, N-5 R2 F15 net F12 for light scratches, and N-6 R1 VG7 net G5 for some pitting on the reverse. All have a strong date and clear legends. Lot of 3 coins.

LOT 191 1828 N-3 R2 VF35. At least 5 points sharper but there is a fine scratch in the field under the hair bun. Otherwise very nice with only minor contact marks. Frosty tan with steel brown toning on the devices. Satiny and sharp with very nice eye appeal for the grade.

LOT 192 1828 N-4 R4 VG8. Glossy light brown with darker chocolate in protected areas. Smooth except for some minor roughness at star 12. No notable marks.
