LOT 157 Quartet of 1825 Cents grading AG3 to G5. Average grade is G4. Includes N-2 R2, N-3 R3, N-4 R3,and N-9 R2. All are glossy brown and chocolate, just worn. Lot of 4 coins.
LOT 158 1825 N-3 R3 PCGS graded AU55. Very attractive frosty medium chocolate and steel brown with lighter brown dominating on the reverse. The fields are satiny and the only marks are a few tiny planchet chips around the bust tip and a small puff of darker olive brown toning right of the date. MDS, Grellman state b early. The small lump in the field below star 6 is still visible and a very faint die crack meanders down from the curl over star 13 to the top of the 5 in the date. Graded EF45 net EF40 and tied for CC#16 in the Noyes census, his photo #35937. Our grade is EF40+, close to EF45 . LOT 160 1825 N-4 R3 VF20. Frosty steel brown and light chocolate. Smooth and the only notable mark is a very light rim bruise over the first T in STATES. A very nice cent for the grade.
LOT 159 1825 N-3 R3 VF20. Five points sharper with a small pit under star 10. Otherwise smooth with trivial marks. Glossy light to medium brown. E-MDS.
