EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 101 1818 N-3 R3 VF35. Very attractive glossy light chocolate brown. Choice, just lightly worn. MDS, Grellman state a late. The fields are lightly flowlined but the spike up from the top of the coronet is clear.

LOT 102 1818 N-4 R4+ G5. Very slightly sharper but the surfaces are not perfectly smooth. Mostly glossy chocolate brown with lighter brown on the devices. The only notable mark is a small chip out of the rim right of star 13. The date and legends are clear except for the usual weakness at CE and ON. MDS with swelling in the field before the mouth and a radial crack through star 3.

LOT 104 Quartet of 1818 Cents grading G4 to G6. Average grade is G5. Includes N-5 R3, N-6 R1 G4, N-8 R3, and N-9 R3. All are sharper with defects but have a clear date. Lot of 4 coins.

LOT 105 1818 N-7 R1 VF30+. Glossy olive and light chocolate brown with frost in protected areas. Smooth and attractive with no notable marks, just lightly worn. MDS.

LOT 103 1818 N-5 R3 VF35. Glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Smooth and attractive with only trivial marks, none notable. M-LDS. The die crack at stars 1-4 extends to the rim left of the date. There is a double profile on the nostril, lips, and jaw.
