LOT 208 1798 S-154 R4+ Large 8, Style I Hair VF25 Slightly sharper but there is a finely doubled diagonal hairline scratch through the throat and a tiny rim bruise at ER in LIBERTY. Attractive glossy chocolate brown. Late die state with a radial die crack at the bust and bulges on both sides, strongest on the reverse. An attractive cent in spite of the minor marks. Graded VF30 and tied for CC#6 in the Bland census. Noyes says VF35 net VF25 and tied for CC#6. Comes with a nice provenance. $4,500 Ex A. H. Baldwin & Sons, Ltd.
