1802 S-231 R1 Stemless Wreath VG8 Sharpness VF20 but covered with contact marks, particularly small rim nicks and bruises. Otherwise the planchet is smooth and the toning is an attractive glossy light chocolate brown. Sharply struck EDS+, Breen state II, with fine die clashmarks and cracks. The date and legends are strong. $200

1802 S-232 R1 F12 At least five points sharper but covered with fine roughness under rather glossy dark steel and olive brown toning. No marks but there are traces of shallow verdigris on the reverse. MDS, Breen state II, with a tiny rim break under the 1 in the date. $200
