Lot 71 1812 S-290 R-1 Sm Date VF20. XF40 sharpness but lightly corroded with old verdigris in some protected areas. There are also two planchet voids one at the bust tip and the other on the rim at star 10. Deep olive and steel patina. Lot 72 1812 S-290 R-1 Sm Date PCGS XF Detail (Cleaned). XF45 sharpness but there is a spot fine hairlines between stars 4-5, and specks of old verdigris at E in ONE. There are also a couple trivial ticks on Liberty’s cheek. The obverse is glossy dark brown, the reverse a mottled mix of tan and dark brown. M-LDS, Breen State III, Smith state 2.
