Lot 64 1812 S-289 R-1 Lg Date PCGS XF45. Frosty medium brown and chocolate with lighter brown around some of the peripheries. There is a notable nick on the lower hair off the shoulder, a smaller in the hair above that, a pair of rim nicks under 8 and 2, and minor rim bruises under 18 and over C in AMERICA. Lot 66 1812 S-289 R-1 Lg Date PCGS XF Detail (Environ. Damage). Near XF sharpness but there are traces of dark, granular verdigris in some protected areas on both sides. There is also a trivial nick on Liberty’s cheek and a notable dig at E in AMERICA. Dark olive and chocolate browns. LDS, Breen state IV, Smith state 4.
