LOT 138 1809 C-3 R1 ANACS graded EF45 . Rather glossy olive brown and steel. There is a bit of dirt in protected areas, particularly on the obverse, and faint contact marks scattered over both sides. MDS. Our grade is net VF30. Certificate #
LOT 139 1809 C-3 R1 VF30 . Sharpness AU50 or better but there is glossy dark greenish verdigris around the rim on the reverse and some more on the leaf under OF. Otherwise this piece is sharp and the toning is a very attractive frosty olive brown and steel with lighter brown on the upper part of the obverse. The only contact mark is a thin diagonal nick on the chin. MDS, Manley state 1.0, with nearly complete dentils around the obverse.
LOT 142 1809/6 (or Inverted 9) C-5 R1 VF35 . Glossy medium steel brown and light chocolate. Smooth and attractive, void of defects. Nicely struck EDS, Manley state 1.0. The overdate feature is clear.

LOT 140 1809 C-3 R1 VF20 . Ten points sharper but recolored glossy light olive brown and chocolate. Smooth and free of marks. EDS, Manley state 1.0.

LOT 143 1809 C-6 R1 EF40 . Slightly sharper with two small rim nicks at the top of the reverse. Otherwise choice. Frosty medium brown and light chocolate. MDS, Manley state 3.0, with rim cuds on the upper right part of the obverse, but none of the cuds reaches inside the dentil tips. Struck with the reverse rotated 30 degrees clockwise.

LOT 141 Pair of 1809 Half Cents . Includes C-3 R1 VG8 (reverse rotated 25 degrees CCW), and N-4 R2 (Large 0 over Small 0 in Date) VF25 net VG10 for fine roughness and small nicks. Lot of 2 coins.
