Hall of Fame Half Dollars

EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 216 1809 Overton-107 R3 PCGS AU58. Very attractive lustrous electric blue and steel at the rims changing to lighter champagne and bright silver in the centers. Just a light touch of friction on the highpoints and no notable defects. Early die state. The diagonal die lines from the left side of the eagle’s neck are sharp. 56073636

LOT 217 1809 Overton-107a R4 G6. Glossy light gray with darker gray in the obverse fields. The reverse is stronger than the obverse, perhaps a 5/7 split. A rim bruise under the date is the only significant mark. Later die state with clear die clashmarks at ERICA to the arrowheads.

LOT 219 1810 Overton 101a R1 PCGS AU50. Frosty light silvery steel with lustrous brighter silver in protected areas. Sharp and void of notable marks, just lightly worn on the devices. Later die state with a small cud break at the outer point of star 1 and a long lump on the tip of the bust. 59098113

LOT 218 1810 Overton 101 R1 PCGS AU55. Gorgeous lustrous bluish steel and silver with a hint of friction on the very highest points of the devices. Essentially a choice mint state piece with light “cabinet friction.” Rather early die state. The die cracks are light and there is a hint of reflectivity in the field around the stars. A beautiful Turban Head half dollar. 5607637

LOT 220 1810 Overton 102a R2 G4. Sharper but dented causing a bulge on the reverse. Not the most attractive half dollar in this collection but the date and most of the legends are strong. Later die state with cracks on both sides.
