1795 S-73 R5- Lettered Edge PCGS Fine Detail, Environmental Damage . Glossy dark olive brown and steel with fine granularity in the fields and protected areas. The glossy toning helps disguise the roughness and the eye appeal is decent for the grade. No verdigris and the only marks are a small chip or pit in the hair left of the earlobe and a very small rim bruise at the U in UNITED. LDS, Breen state IV, with fine die cracks on both sides. Graded F12 and tied for CC#7 in the Bland census. Noyes says VF20 net F12 and tied for CC#3, his photo #26531. Our grade is VF20 sharpness net F12. LOT 86 1795 S-74 R4- Lettered Edge PCGS graded AU58+ . Very attractive glossy light brown with slightly darker steel brown on the highpoints. Smooth with minor contact marks including a very light rim bruise under the left end of the wreath ribbon. MDS, Breen state V, with minor die cracks and bulges on both sides. A nice cent, close to EF45. Graded EF40 by Del Bland and tied for CC#6. Noyes says EF45 net EF40 and tied for CC#6, his photo #34636. Our grade is EF40+ , close to EF45. Comes with a great provenance for a relatively modest cent. 35714.58+/57538501
