1794 S-68 R5 Head of 1795 PCGS graded VF35 . Choice glossy medium brown and light chocolate. Smooth with great eye appeal for the grade. A barely visible rim bruise at the Y, a small nick off the upper lip, and a dull nick close under the ear are the only notable marks, and they are insignificant. LDS, Breen state V, Heck that 3. The bisecting die crack on the obverse is complete and the section above the crack is raised on a higher plain causing the hair above to be a bit weaker than the hair below. Graded F15 and tied for CC#9 in the Bland census. Noyes says VF20 net F15 and tied for CC#7, his photo #26442. Our grade is VF20 . The overall sharpness may be a point or two less than you expect for a VF20 grade, but the late die state and beautiful surfaces give it a little bump up in our opinion--especially for a variety that is difficult to find without problems. 35687.35/57538496

1794 S-69 R3 Head of 1795 PCGS graded AU53 . Choice glossy woodgrained mix of tan and light chocolate brown. Smooth with trivial marks including a light scratch down the face from before the eye to the lips. This mark is not visible to the unaided eye and the cent has great eye appeal for the grade. MDS, Breen state II, Heck 2, with die clashmarks on both sides. Graded VF35 and tied for CC#10 in the Bland census. Noyes says VF30 net VF25 and tied for CC#15.
