THE “OFFICE BOY REVERSE”

LOT 63 1794 S-56 R3 Head of 1794 VF25 . Glossy light olive brown and chocolate with smooth surfaces and minor marks. A shallow planchet chip on the rim before the bust and a very tiny rim bruise right of the Y are the only notable defects. LDS, Breen state III, Heck 3. with no die clashmarks on the reverse. A decent example of the “Office Boy Reverse” variety, so-called because of the amateurish layout of the legend on that die.
