LOT 47 1794 S-43 R2 Head of 1794 F12 . Glossy light brown with darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. Smooth and attractive but there are a few marks including a few faint hairline scratches in the field before the portrait and a few more on the reverse. A shallow planchet void or chip under the N in ONE is a good identifying mark. Latest die state, Breen V late, Heck state 8, with die cracks on both sides and obvious die failure on the reverse.
