LOT 346 1808 S-277 R2 PCGS graded AU53 . Frosty light to medium steel brown and light chocolate. Satiny mint frost covers the fields and protected areas and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. The only marks on otherwise choice surfaces are three dull nicks or small digs at the bust and three smaller ones in the field before the mouth. MDS, Breen state VI, with die cracks on the reverse and significant weakness on star 1 from sinking at the opposing TA in STATES. Nearly qualifies for the “12-Star Obverse” die state. Graded VF35 net VF25 by Noyes, his photo #25919. Our grade is VF35. 36457.53/61275951
