EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 314 1803 S-249 R2 Corrected Denominator 100/000, PCGS graded XF45 . Glossy medium olive brown and chocolate. Sharp and smooth with very nice eye appeal, but there are a few contact marks. A small chip on the rim left of the lower curls, a few ticks on the neck, some tiny rim nicks at ER in LIBERTY, and a dull nick on the ribbon right of the numerator are the notable marks. Otherwise this cent would rate a slightly higher grade. MDS, Breen state IV, with die cracks but no cuds. Graded EF45 net EF40 and tied for CC#14 in the Noyes census, his photo #36897. Our grade is EF40+ sharpness net VF35. The “Mumps” break is bold and the Corrected Denominator feature is clear. 36416.45/52085742
