EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

CHOICE S-232 EX RAMONT

LOT 294 1802 S-232 R1 PCGS graded AU53 . Frosty light olive and medium brown with hints of mint luster and great eye appeal. Just a touch of friction on the highest points of the devices and a few trivial marks including a faint hairline scratch in the field before the eye and a speck of yellow crud at the right pendant of the first T in STATES. An incipient planchet clip affects the dentils off the hair ribbon. MDS, Breen state IV early. Both sides have die clashmarks and the crack at OF is faint. Graded EF45 net EF40 and tied for CC#20 in the Noyes census. Our grade is EF45. A sharp, very attractive cent. 36305.53/61468285
