LOT 218 1798 S-171 R4 Style II Hair, Small 8 VF30 . Glossy medium brown and chocolate with a puff of reddish brown toning at the L in LIBERTY and another at the bottom of the lowest curl. The surfaces are smooth and the only notable contact marks are a dull nick just right of the date and a tiny prick in the field off the chin. MDS, Breen state IV, with a bold cud break left of the L and die clashmarks on both sides. Graded VF30 and tied for CC#7 in the Bland census. Noyes says VF35 net VF25 and tied for CC#7, his photo #26262.
