Fred Borcherdts ANA Sale

EARLY CENTS AUCTIONS

LOT 212 1798 S-166 R1 Style II Hair, Large 8 VF35 . Choice glossy brown and light chocolate. Smooth and nearly flawless; a tiny planchet chip right of the top of the F in OF and a nick below the adjacent A are the only notable marks. M-LDS, Breen state V. The crack through the E in UNITED obliterates the right half of that letter. Struck with the reverse rotated 35 degrees CCW. The strike on the bust is better than most, nearly complete.
