CONDITION CENSUS S-132 STEMLESS WREATH

LOT 161 1797 S-132 R5+ Stemless Wreath PCGS graded AU53 . At least ten points sharper but recolored glossy olive brown and steel with reddish steel brown in protected areas and traces of lighter golden tan on the lower part of the reverse. The surfaces are smooth and the only marks are a dull nick on the bust, another near the curl on the neck, and minor rim bruises at the first A in AMERICA and under the right side of the fraction. None of the marks is distracting and this cent has nice eye appeal in spite of the retoning and few marks. LDS, Breen state II. The horizontal wave in the field before the throat is clear. Graded VF35 net F15 and tied for CC#4 in the Noyes census, his photo #62355. Not seen by Bland. Our grade is VF30+ sharpness net VF20. 35984.53/52084631
