LOT 156 1797 S-127 R4 VG8 . Slightly sharper with minor roughness under mostly glossy medium brown toning that blends to olive brown in protected areas. No verdigris and the only notable marks are a small planchet chip in the hair left of the brow and some barely visible hairline scratches on the portrait. LDS, Breen state VI, with swelling and die cracks on the obverse. The date and legends are strong. Graded VG10 net VG8 and tied for CC#24 in the Noyes census, his photo #36892.
