LOT 154 1797 S-126 R3 VG10 . Sharper by at least 5 points but the surfaces have been lightly smoothed and nicely retoned glossy brown and light olive with darker olive brown in protected areas. The only notable mark is a small nick in the dentils at the C in AMERICA. Very rare LDS, Breen state VII, with a bisecting die crack across the obverse. Graded F15 net VG8 by Noyes and third finest of those known in the late die state, his photo #26541.
