LOT 152 1797 S-125 R5 VG10 . At least 5 points sharper but there is verdigris in protected areas, strongest at ERT in LIBERTY and ME in AMERICA. The surfaces are a bit dull thanks to microscopic roughness. Slightly glossy mix of olive brown and reddish chocolate. LDS, Breen state III, with strong swelling and die clashmarks on the obverse. Graded VF25 net VG8 and tied for CC#16 in the Noyes census, his photo #26472. This is the Noyes plate coin for the late die state in his 1991 reference.
