LOT 131 1796 S-114 R5- Draped Bust VG10 . Slightly glossy olive brown and steel with lighter brown and chocolate on the devices. Sharply detailed, particularly on the obverse, but the surfaces are covered with fine granularity mixed with small pits. A glass reveals hairline scratches covering much of the obverse with a few more on the reverse. A larger pit at the left top of the A in STATES is a good identifying mark. LDS, Breen state IV, with two rim cuds on the obverse, and both are quite bold. Graded VG10 net G5 in the Noyes census, his photo #29618. The obverse of this cent is plated in Penny Whimsy.
