THE FRENCH-NEWCOMB-RUBY S-103 LIHERTY

LOT 117 1796 S-103 R4+ LIHERTY Obverse VG10 . Mostly glossy chocolate and olive brown. Both sides are covered with tiny planchet chips and small nicks, and the reverse has a few small patches of corrosion. A pit or significant planchet chip at the O in OF is a good identifying mark. The obverse is considerably nicer than the reverse. EDS, Breen state I, with a light die crack at AMERI. The date and legends are complete and strong, and the LIHERTY error is bold. Comes with a very nice provenance.
