LOT 111 1796 S-97 R3 Draped Bust EF40 . Mostly glossy dark olive brown and steel. Sharply struck with just a light touch of friction on the highpoints, but the planchet is covered with microscopic granularity. Otherwise essentially flawless. A tiny tick over the T in CENT is the best identifying mark. LDS, Breen state V, with a strong cud break connecting TY to the rim. Graded EF40 and CC#3 in the Bland census. Noyes says AU50 net EF40 and CC#3, his photo #25561. This is the finest known example with the cud break outside the ANS.
