LOT 107 1796 S-93 R3 Draped Bust F15+ . Choice glossy light to medium chocolate brown. Smooth and sharply struck with trivial marks and great eye appeal. A tiny planchet void or thin nick close to the truncation over the 9 is a good identifying mark, but you need a glass to see it. EDS, Breen state I, with an uncracked reverse. Graded F15 Choice and tied for CC#25 in the Noyes census, his photo #26161. A beautiful mid grade cent, close to VF20.

POSSIBLE FINEST S-94 RARITY

LOT 108 1796 S-94 R5+ Draped Bust PCGS graded XF45 . Glossy medium brown and light chocolate with slightly darker steel brown toning on the highpoints. The surfaces are smooth, the devices are sharp, and the eye appeal of this cent is very nice. There are some contact marks on both sides; the only marks worthy of mention are a dull diagonal nick high on the neck and a dull horizontal nick close under the right side of the N in CENT. A sharp, very attractive example of this rare die variety. Graded VF30 and CC#2 in the Bland census. Noyes says EF45 net EF40 and CC#1. Our grade is VF35. This is the plate coin for the die variety in the 1991 Noyes reference on the cents of 1793-1814. A very important cent that comes with a very nice provenance. 35843.45/57516984
