LOT 522 1847 N-26 R3+ MS60. Lustrous light olive and chocolate. The fields are satiny, the strike is sharp, and this cent has great eye appeal. A small nick on the rim below star 13 is the only notable mark. MDS, die state c, with die cracks on the reverse but no rim cuds. Removed from an NGC holder graded MS64BN (NGC label #961928-001 included, and it shows the attribution)

LOT 524 1847 N-39 R3- AU58. Close to mint state but there is a small patch of microscopic reddish carbon left of the C in CENT. Frosty light chocolate and olive with 5% of the obverse and 20% of the reverse showing mellowed mint red. Sharply struck and void of contact marks. E-MDS, die state a late. The fine diagonal die line through the O in ONE is visible and the fields are lightly flowlined.

LOT 525 Pair of 1847 Cents with Rim Cuds. Includes N-7 R2+ M-LDS (b) with a rim cud at star 1 VF30 net VF20 for nicks, and N-18 R5 Repunched Date (the so called Large 7 over Medium 7 variety) M-LDS (c) with rim cuds from below the 1 to star 2 VF20+ net VG10 for strong rim dents. The rim cuds are clear on the first, weaker on the second. Both are glossy brown and chocolate. Lot of 2 coins.

LOT 523 1847 N-30 R4 Repunched 1 EF45. Choice glossy steel brown and chocolate with mint frost in protected areas. Smooth and essentially flawless with very light wear on the highpoints. MDS, die state b. The repunching at the bottom of the 1 is clear. Tied for CC#10 of the variety in the Grellman census. A very nice cent that comes with an equally nice provenance.

LOT 526 Group of Five 1847 Cents grading F15. Includes N-4 R3 Repunched 18, N-24 R1, N-26 R3+, N-28 R4+ Repunched 4, and N-37 R1. Some are sharper with marks but all are glossy brown and chocolate with a strong date. Lot of 5 coins.
